The governor’s role is voluntary yet has become a crucial part of the leadership team of the school. Howard Hickey- Foundation Governor-Chair of Governors
My name is Howard Hickey. I am a Foundation Governor of St Anne Line Catholic Infant School. I live in Langdon Hills and work for a bank in London managing Customer Relations and Development. My wife and I have two sons who have been through the infant school. I applied to be a governor so that I might understand more about the school and contribute towards the continued improvement of the excellent standards of education and culture that exist here."
Rachel Bradford- Foundation Governor-Vice Chair of Governors
My name is Rachel Bradford I’m 34 years old and a mother of two. My daughter currently attends St Anne Line School in year 1 and my son attends the nursery. I’m originally from North London and now live in Laindon and have done so for the past 7 years with my husband and children. Prior to me becoming a full time stay at home mum I worked in the city of London in banking working my way from retail banking, private banking onto commercial property lending operations. I am a member of our Lady and All Saints Parish. I became a governor so that I can be more involved with the school and to help make a positive contribution to our children’s education and welfare.
Father Daniel- Foundation Governor-Assistant Parish Priest
Father Daniel is Parish Priest of Our Lady and All Saints. He supports the school in our mission to live out our Catholic Faith and helps to develop the links with the parish through visits to school and regular masses. Father Daniel has a particular responsibility for overseeing the Religious Education that is taught in the school.
Gloria Diabour- Foundation Governor
My name is Gloria Diabour. I attend The Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, in the parish of Our Lady and All Saints, and have recently been accepted by the Diocese as a Foundation Governor of St. Anne Line Catholic Infant School. I am looking forward to serving the school community.

I grew up and was educated in catholic schools in Basildon and have always been part of the catholic parish, which I hope to continue as part of my family life. I presently work part time in a local junior school as a key worker. I look forward to my role as a foundation governor, hoping to make a valid contribution to the governing body and support decisions affect our children's education.ho is now in the junior school and my son who is 1 years old. Anne-Marie Stokkereit -Foundation Governor
I live in Basildon with my husband and two children. My background is finance, having worked at an investment bank in London until 2013, when I took a career break to spend some time at home with my children. I have helped support the parish of Our Lady and All Saints over a number of years as a Finance Committee member and musician, and became a foundation governor to further support our Catholic community.

Mrs. Jenny Tingey – Parent Governor
I am a mum to two young children; one is currently in the junior school and my youngest son is in Reception. I was elected as a Parent Governor in 2016 and am pleased to be able to share my ideas and contribute to the decision making of the school.
Linda Amber- Staff Governor
I have two grown up children – Paul who has severe learning difficulties, and a daughter, Julia. I have two grandchildren, Daisy and Rudy. I am a member of my local Methodist Church and serve as a Senior Steward both in my church and to our Circuit. Julia attended St. Anne Line Infant School and I started to work here at about the same time as she entered reception. I work in the school office as the Admissions Officer/Office Manager, a job I thoroughly enjoy. Our school has a wonderful Christian ethos, which is shown in the love, and care the staff have for all the children and I am delighted to be elected as a staff governor to serve the school.
Laura Roel- Co-opted Governor
I am currently Nursery Manager and representative of the Nursery to the Governing Body. I am pleased to be able to be ‘the voice’ of our youngest children and feel I can contribute to the Infant School Governing Body with a secure knowledge of how children learn best and also what we can do as governors to ensure that this happens. I have worked in several other settings including maintained and private provision. I have a keen interest in dance and attend a local dance school in Braintree.
Angela Russell-Staff Governor and Head teacher
-As head teacher of the school I work in close partnership with the governing body to shape the direction of the school. We constantly reflect on how we can offer our children a firm foundation at the start of their educational journey. As mother of four children and now a grandmother, I know how important this is. We strive to create a happy environment where all children can achieve, become good citizens and grow in Christ’s love
Melanie Clayton- SEN advisor
Melanie shares the role of Deputy Head Teacher in the school. As she is also our school SENCO supporting children across the school, Melanie attends the governing body meetings to advise on SEN issues. Melanie lives in Southend with her husband and three young sons.
