It is a great privilege to be the Headteacher of St Anne Line Catholic Infant School. Welcome to our school — a place where we Love, Learn and Pray together.

Our school is at the heart of a rich and diverse community in Lee Chapel North, Basildon. We are proud to serve families who wish their children to experience a Catholic education and, while our Catholic faith is at the centre of our school, we warmly welcome children and families of all faiths and beliefs. We celebrate our differences, learn from one another and strive to live together in harmony, with love, respect and kindness at the heart of all that we do.

We believe that every child is unique, precious and capable of achieving great things. Our high expectations, nurturing relationships and strong sense of belonging ensure that every child is known, valued and encouraged to flourish.

We want our children to develop a lifelong love of learning. Learning at St Anne Line is active, purposeful and full of opportunities to question, explore, investigate and discover. We want children to be curious about the world, excited by new ideas and confident to have a go, make mistakes and try again. From our youngest children in our Nursery through to the end of Year 2, we provide rich experiences both inside and beyond the classroom that inspire children to become enthusiastic, independent learners.

Our faith shapes who we are. Through prayer, reflection and our Catholic values, we encourage our children to recognise their own God-given gifts, to care for others and to understand how they can make a positive difference to the world around them. We love, we learn, and we pray — and in doing so, we grow together.

We know that children flourish when school, home, church and the wider community work together. We are incredibly fortunate to have such supportive families and strong partnerships, all sharing the same desire to give our children the very best possible start in life.

I am immensely proud of our children and of the dedicated staff who make St Anne Line such a happy, welcoming and special place to be.
