Heavenly Father,

I am grateful for the lovely teachers in school.  Please look after all the children during the summer holidays.  Thank you for your love and care we have in school.

Amen

Weekly Message from Mrs Clayton

As we leave school today, I wanted to thank all parents for their support this year. The children have had another amazing year, achieving well beyond our expectations in all areas and this would not be possible without our partnership with you.  We are so grateful for all the cards and gifts the school staff have received.  Your generosity and kindness is much appreciated.

It is with sadness that we say goodbye to our Year 2 children and some families who have been with us for many years. I wish you all the best for the future and please do keep a special place in your heart and prayers for St. Anne Line Catholic Infant School.  I look forward to seeing you in September.  Please check the calendar on this newsletter for the return dates.

Have a lovely rest and I hope that you can all find the time to create some summer memories together.

Communication

Going forward, the way the school/nursery will communicate is as follows, therefore please ensure you have downloaded the Studybugs app and we have your correct email address:

Studybugs - First Aid and general messages.

Emails - Weekly newsletter, Parents Evenings bookings, important letters. Please check junk/spam and move to your inbox if needed.

Please contact the school office if you have any questions or need to update your contact information.

School Attendance

The whole school's weekly attendance is 97%.

Class Highest:  Kingfishers 99.2% and Robins 99.2%

Good attendance helps your child make the most of their learning and keeps them on track with their progress. Every day in school counts towards their success and confidence.

Goodbye to Year 2

Today we said goodbye and good luck to our children in Year 2.  We wish them and their families the very best.

Summer Library Reading Challenge

Your child is invited to sign up for this year’s Summer Reading Challenge. Sign up for FREE at your local library!

What is the Summer Reading Challenge?

The Summer Reading Challenge encourages children to keep reading during the school summer holidays – and to enjoy reading anything they like! All children are invited to read books and/or complete reading-related activities, and collect rewards. It’s completely FREE to take part.

National Read Aloud

We are very excited to share that we have signed up to take part in the National Read Aloud where children can read books on a special app.  Please click on the link below.

Online Safety Zone

As the summer holidays begin, children often spend more time online—whether it’s playing games, watching videos, or chatting with friends. This break is a great opportunity for parents and carers to get involved in their child’s digital world and encourage safe, positive online habits.

Here are some simple ways to support your child online this summer:

  • Spend time online together: Visit their favourite websites and play their favourite games to show interest and stay informed about what they enjoy.

  • Have open conversations: Use this time to talk positively about the internet and how to stay safe.

  • Build trust: Regular, honest conversations can help your child feel confident to come to you if something online ever upsets them.
