Weekly Message from Mrs Clayton

What a wonderful week we’ve had as we approach the half-term break! Our Harvest Festival for Reception to Year 2 was a truly joyful celebration - it was lovely to welcome so many parents, and we are deeply grateful for your generous donations to support those in need. We were also delighted to welcome Fr Albert and a representative from Basildon Foodbank, who helped the children understand the importance of giving and gratitude.

Earlier in the week, we were treated to a fantastic visit from RISE Theatre, who led an inspiring performance and workshop on Catholic Social Teaching - helping us all reflect on how we can live out our faith through action and kindness.

A special well done to the 116 children who achieved 100% attendance this term -what a brilliant effort!

Finally, we celebrated the Feast of St John Paul II, one of our house saints, by praying together and thanking him for his example of faith, courage, and love.

Wishing all our families a restful and blessed half-term.  See you on Tuesday 4th November.

God bless.

Harvest Festival

Basildon Foodbank sent a big thank you for all the wonderful donations for the Harvest Festival today.

Message from the School Crossing Patrol Service

Please do not let children run ahead of you at the crossing site. Please arrive together in family groups ready to cross the road. It is advisable for parents to hold the hands of younger pupils when crossing. Thank you.

Please encourage children who ride bikes and scooters to school to dismount and walk the bikes and scooter over the patrolled crossing site. This is for the safety of other pedestrians, the patrol and for the pupils themselves. Thank you.

Would parents who drop children off in Great Knightley advise the children to walk to the patrol who will assist them to cross. This is good practise for when they get older and make unaccompanied journeys as they will then look for the safest places to cross. Thank you.

Would parent drivers not park close to the crossing site. It is important that the patrol has good visibility of approaching traffic to cross pedestrians safely. Thank you.
