Our school meals are prepared on site in the school kitchen. The kitchen has achieved the Health & Safety Five Star Award for many years.
Our own In-House Catering enables us to ensure that the ingredients are sourced locally and are of the highest quality.
Currently due to COVID 19, our menu and choices have been adapted and reduced. The menu's will still be changed regularly to ensure children have a good variety of meals. All of the menus follow the government guidelines to ensure they provide a balanced diet.
Please see the weekly menu's in the school newsletters. You child will need to tell their teacher during the morning register what meal they would like that day. Please make sure you have spoken to your child about their dinner choices so they know which to ask for.
We are fortunate that the government recognises the need for children to have a healthy balanced lunch and have given infant schools a grant to provide school meals free of charge.
If your child has any allergies let us know and we will see how we can meet their needs.
Sometimes you may wish to send your child to school with a packed lunch box. This must NOT contain any nuts, chocolate or sweet items. We have severe allergies in school and bringing chocolate or nut items into school can seriously harm other children.
A packed lunch box should include sources of protein and long lasting carbohydrates to ensure children are well nourished and able to focus on their afternoon lessons.
Due to COVID 19 all lunchboxes MUST be plastic so they can be wiped down when brought into class in the morning, examples below.
