Catch Up Premium
Funding has been given to schools to support pupils who have fallen behind due to the impact of COVID-19.
St Anne Line Catholic Infant School are using the funding amount of £6,130 to pay for a qualified teacher to run targeted catch up lessons. These small group sessions aim to address any gaps in learning or misconceptions that have developed during periods of online home learning. The impact of this strategy on the selected children's educational attainment is measured through data analysis of the class teachers assessments.
Recovery Premium & School Led Tutoring Funding
In addition, the school will receive an additional £3,915 in Recovery Premium and £2,632 School Led Tutoring Funding. This funding will be used towards the costs of a qualified teacher and teaching assistant to receive training for and to run the Reading Recovery Programme. This programme aims to support children's early reading and writing skills for those who are identified as working below expected standard. This programme is conducted in both small groups as well as on a 1:1 tutoring basis. The impact of this programme on educational attainment will be measured through data analysis of class teacher assessments, the assessments of the reading recovery programme and by each child's progress through the book banding reading scheme.
