Story Garden, Summer Reading Challenge 2025, launches in all Essex Libraries on

Saturday 19 July 2025 and runs until Saturday 6 September 2025. Children of all ages can

join in, the challenge is to read six books or do reading-related activities and they’ll collect a

sticker for each achievement. Children completing the activity also get a medal and

certificate. As well as being great fun, it can also help prevent a reading dip over the long

    summer break.
