There are 2 classes in Owls and Wrens.

Reading lessons focus on alternative graphemes to support decoding. Comprehension skills are developed to ensure children can understand and answer questions about the text they are reading.

Maths is taught through the mastery approach with a focus on number fluency and application of understanding through reasoning and problem solving.

The foundation subjects are taught through an enquiry-approach, where children ask and answer "big questions" and guide their own learning, supported by hands on, real resources and experiences.
