12th December 2023
In assembly today the children have been given a Book Challenge project; to make a book to fit inside a matchbox.
We look forward to reading your fantastic miniature books!!
Please see the document below for ideas of how to do this at home.
December 2023 - Home Practise of High Frequency Words
It is important for your child to rapidly read the red words and high frequency words which appear in texts alongside learning their phonic sounds. This will help them to develop reading fluency.
We are asking all families to support their child in reading these words. Teachers will be sending home a copy of the word list for their year group, and you will see which words your child was not able to read.
Below is a document with many activities and games that you can do at home to support reading and spelling of these words.
Workshops
10th October 2023 - Maths at School Family Workshop with Miss Bond.
The morning was a great success with so many families attending and having a go at maths themselves to understand how the equipment and models we use help to support their children's understanding.
If you were unable to attend or want to revisit the session, the presentation document is below along with a link to the Calculation Policy & Guidance on how we teach different areas of maths.
